Toot N Holler – CANCELLED
June 5, 2021
It is with disappointment that we announce that the Toot N Holler will be cancelled for this year. Under the current COVID-19 restrictions, garage sales are deemed non-essential and not permitted under the before Step 1 provincial orders. Although it is anticipated that the province will move into Step 1 on June 14, there is no guarantee, therefore we are unable to keep rescheduling during this uncertainty. We hope that you will plan your own garage sale when it is permitted.
Toot ‘N’ Holler is a community-wide garage sale day, traditionally held the last Saturday in April to clear out all of your bulky items.
This was originally started by the Tottenham Community Improvement Association (affectionately known as the “CIA”), whose mandate was the beautification of Tottenham.
The Toot n Holler was started for the residents to make some money at their garage sale and use that money to beautify their own properties. Although the CIA no longer operates, the tradition of Toot n’ Holler has continued for more than 20 years.
If you would like to have your address listed as having a garage sale, there is no cost. Please complete it and you will have your address listed in the New Tecumseth Times the week of the Holler.
